After having pulled 114 people into safety yesterday, the Aquarius crew has rescued another 261 lives under extremely challenging conditions.
Whereas today’s first rescue operation proceeded without any incident, the second rubber dinghy started to deflate. People on board the rubber boat started panicking and jumped directly into the cold water. Thanks to the professional work of our crew, everyone could be pulled into safety, including several infants.
The Aquarius crew is currently providing the rescued individuals with primary care.
